- 250g whole almonds
- 1. When making the plain almond butter, you can choose to first roast the almonds lightly, otherwise you can use them raw.
- 2. If roasting, preheat oven to 180°C/350°F/gas 4. Spread almonds on a baking tray and roast for 5 minutes. Remove from oven and leave to cool completely.
- 3. To make the nut butter, place whole almonds into the bowl of a food processor and turn it on. Leave processor to run until the consistency is of nut butter, this can take between 10 - 30 minutes depending on the power of your food processor. Also, the longer you run the processor, the smoother your nut butter will be.
- 4. When finished, pour or spoon almond butter into a sterilised jar and seal.
